A U.S. House race in Virginia is seeking an experienced,?skilled, and?energetic individual to become the Communications Director. This is a full-time position. The Communications Director serves as the?main point of contact for promoting the campaign in the media (including print, television, and social media). ? ? RESPONSIBILITIES: Working in collaboration with the?candidate and staff,?the Communication Director will draft?and execute a communications plan that includes: Develop communications message, strategies, and plans . Draft press releases .? Work with the website?hosts to draft e-blasts and distribute information . Establish relationships with traditional media and new media . Facilitate press conferences as needed and?any other earned media events . Manage the Twitter and Facebook accounts . Compile press & issues information and conduct research as assigned . Help prepare talking points .? Maintain media lists .? Help develop rapid responses, letters to the editor, opinion editorials, and talk radio programs ?
